The CIA designed the Avrocar to appear like a “flying saucer,” further blurring the lines between military technology and UFO phenomena.
By 1957, Project Blue Book had analyzed thousands of reports and claimed that only 14 out of 1,006 sightings remained unidentified. The document states that consultants statistically tested the unknown object population and found the probability of these being similar to identified objects to be less than one in ten thousand trillion to one.
