López Obrador also called for the lifting of sanctions on Cuba and Venezuela, $20 billion in aid to Latin American and Caribbean countries, and legal status for Mexican illegal immigrants in the U.S.
Trump criticized the Mexican president’s demands, stating that he would never have allowed such a request during his presidency. He emphasized that he would not have given Mexico “10 cents,” let alone $10 billion, and that this situation would not have occurred under his leadership.
The former president also expressed his belief that the Biden administration’s perceived weakness has led to a lack of respect from foreign leaders. Trump concluded the interview by saying, “The most important day in the history of our country is going to be November 5th. Our country is going bad, and it’s going to be changed on November 5th, and if it’s not changed, we’re not going to have a country anymore.”

For independent journalists on the outside looking in, our only recourse is to rely on affiliates and sponsors.
