When Twitter first started becoming popular, fake news media, like CNN, claimed that insurgent terrorists in Iraq were using the social media platform to communicate secret messages to one another, all while millions of bots (fake followers) claimed Kim Kardashian was drinking a latte at some certain Starbucks in Hollywood (crowd goes wild here). In other words, a psyop can be real, partly real, or a complete hoax, but the end result is the same. The populace gets riled up to believe a certain propped-up narrative.
