Former Air Force General Warns EMP Event Could Happen During April 8 Total Solar Eclipse

by Kevin Hughes, Natural News

(Natural News)—A retired United States Air Force (USAF) general warned that an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) event could happen during the April 8 total solar eclipse.

Retired USAF Brig. Gen. Blaine Holt made this statement during a recent interview with “Inspired” channel host Jean Nolan.

“I’m getting from a couple of places that there is a potential over the next few weeks, and I can’t co-locate it with April 8. But there is a possibility that somewhere in our nation, there’s going to be an EMP or electromagnetic pulse event,” Holt told Nolan.

“Now, you could conveniently if that were to happen along that path of the solar eclipse. Well, then you might have a government that explains that away as saying, oh, this solar eclipse was like no other,” Holt continued. “We’ve had a solar flare storm because we’ve been marinated in that news story over the past four years that oh, solar flares are just around the corner, and these are bad, and it could wipe out your electronics. Well, in reality, that is true if it’s the right kind and if it’s exactly the right type. We haven’t seen that since I think the mid-1800s.”

North America will experience a total solar eclipse on Monday, April 8, beginning at around 11:07 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time on Mexico’s Pacific coast. From there, the eclipse will then take a path through the U.S., crossing – in order of appearance – Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.

The eclipse will also be visible from small parts of Tennessee and Michigan. After Maine, the eclipse will continue north through Canada in southern Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and, finally Cape Breton.

Holt added that physicists are also warning people about the Schumann resonance, which are frequencies that could bring about humanity losing everything.

He pointed out the federal government is warning Americans about these things and telling them to take action could only mean that they have to do it because the government knows something people don’t know about.

A possible EMP event must not be taken for granted

Holt said the potential for an EMP event must not be taken for granted and every American must have preparatory steps for taking care of their own families and their communities. (Related: EMP survival: 4 Ways to protect your home from an EMP attack.)

He stressed that people should not remove the EMP threat from the list of things they need to worry about.

Holt also advised people to do research and get protection against an EMP attack by having cost-effective devices like a Faraday can. Many things could happen in the event of an EMP wave, and protecting electronics from the pulse through devices like a Faraday cage could help people manage.

Nolan said these are strange times and the messaging, warnings, disaster declarations and state emergencies in various states are inconsistent with history and any potential danger that a solar eclipse could pose.

Holt noted that there are a ton of guides online on how to create Faraday-like devices for people strapped for cash and time that will allow them to weather the storm. He then added that valuable electronics should be the priority for these cages, like smartphones, wires, batteries and other electronics people may need.

Safeguarding Your American Dream: Discover the Power of America First Healthcare

America First Healthcare

In today’s economy, healthcare costs remain one of the biggest threats to financial stability and family security. Americans work hard to build a better life, yet rising medical expenses can quickly erode savings, force tough trade-offs, and even push families toward debt or bankruptcy. Medical bills continue to rank as the leading cause of personal bankruptcy in the United States, with millions facing underinsurance or unexpected out-of-pocket burdens that no one plans for. Many turn to government-run marketplace plans under the Affordable Care Act, hoping for relief, only to discover that what appears affordable on paper often delivers higher long-term costs, limited real protection, and coverage that may not align with personal values or family needs.

America First Healthcare stands out as a private insurance agency dedicated to helping conservatives and families secure better coverage and better rates through customized, values-aligned options. By conducting free insurance reviews, the agency uncovers hidden gaps in existing policies and connects clients with private alternatives that emphasize personal responsibility, small-government principles, and genuine affordability—often delivering up to 20% savings while providing stronger protection for the American Dream.

The allure of marketplace plans is easy to understand: open enrollment periods, premium tax credits for many households, and the promise of “comprehensive” benefits mandated by law. Yet recent data reveals a different reality, especially after the expiration of enhanced premium subsidies at the end of 2025. Enrollment for 2026 dropped by more than one million people compared to the prior year, with many shifting to lower-tier bronze plans to keep monthly premiums manageable.

These plans feature significantly higher deductibles—averaging around $7,500 nationally—and greater cost-sharing requirements. Families who once paid modest amounts after subsidies now face average premium increases of $65 or more per month, even as they accept plans that leave them responsible for thousands in upfront costs before meaningful coverage kicks in.

High deductibles create a dangerous barrier to care. Studies show that people in such plans are less likely to seek timely treatment for chronic conditions, attend preventive screenings, or fill necessary prescriptions. A seemingly minor illness or injury can balloon into major expenses when patients delay care until problems worsen. For a family of four, a single hospitalization, cancer diagnosis, or unexpected surgery can easily exceed the deductible, triggering coinsurance and out-of-pocket maximums that still leave substantial bills. One recent analysis noted that some proposed changes could push family deductibles toward $31,000 in future years, further exposing households to financial risk.

Beyond the numbers, marketplace plans often carry structural limitations. Coverage for certain critical services may include waiting periods or narrower networks that restrict access to preferred doctors and specialists. Preventive care is required to be covered without cost-sharing, but everything else—lab work, imaging, specialist visits, or ongoing treatment—typically waits until the deductible is met. This reactive model contrasts sharply with the proactive, holistic approach many families prefer, especially those focused on wellness, early intervention, and maintaining health to enjoy life rather than merely reacting to illness.

Values alignment represents another growing concern. Government-influenced plans operate within a framework shaped by federal mandates and political priorities that may not reflect conservative principles of limited government, personal freedom, and ethical stewardship. Families who want to direct their healthcare dollars toward providers and benefits that honor traditional values sometimes find marketplace options feel misaligned, forcing a compromise between affordability and conviction.

Private alternatives, by contrast, offer year-round flexibility without the restrictions of open enrollment windows. Independent agents can shop across a wider range of carriers to design plans tailored to specific family needs—whether that means lower deductibles for frequent medical users, broader provider networks, or add-ons that support wellness and preventive services from day one. Clients frequently report more stable premiums that do not automatically escalate each year, along with genuine cost savings once the full picture of deductibles, copays, and coverage depth is considered.

Take the experience of real families who made the switch. Amanda C. shared that her new plan felt “way better” than what she had through the marketplace. Johnny Y. noted his previous coverage kept increasing annually until he found a more stable private option. Sofia S. expressed delight with her plan and began recommending it to others. These stories echo a common theme: when families move beyond one-size-fits-all government marketplaces, they often discover customized protection that better safeguards both health and finances.

Founder Jordan Sarmiento’s own journey underscores the stakes. In 2021, a six-day hospitalization generated a $95,000 bill. Under a well-structured private “Conservative Care Coverage” plan, his out-of-pocket responsibility would have been just $500. That stark difference illustrates how thoughtful planning and private options can prevent a medical event from becoming a financial catastrophe.

Practical steps exist for anyone questioning their current coverage. Start with a no-obligation review of your existing policy to identify gaps—high deductibles, limited critical-care benefits, or escalating premiums. Compare total projected costs (premiums plus potential out-of-pocket expenses) rather than monthly premiums alone. Consider family health history, anticipated needs, and lifestyle priorities. Private agencies can present side-by-side options that include stronger wellness incentives, broader access, and plans built on shared values of self-reliance and freedom.

In an era when healthcare inflation continues to outpace general cost-of-living increases, relying solely on marketplace solutions carries growing risk. Families who proactively explore private alternatives frequently achieve meaningful savings while gaining peace of mind that their coverage truly works when needed most.

America First Healthcare makes this exploration straightforward through its free review process. Families and individuals receive personalized guidance to close coverage holes, reduce unnecessary expenses, and secure plans that align with conservative principles—protecting wallets, health, and the American Dream without government overreach. Many who complete a review discover they can enjoy better benefits for less, often saving up to 20% while gaining the customization and stability that marketplace plans struggle to deliver.

Ultimately, protecting your family’s future requires looking beyond the marketing of “affordable” government options. By understanding the long-term costs hidden in high deductibles, shifting coverage tiers, and values mismatches, Americans can make empowered choices. Private, values-driven insurance offers a smarter path—one that rewards diligence, supports wellness, and delivers real security. For those ready to move beyond the limitations of traditional marketplace plans, a simple review can reveal options designed to serve families, not bureaucracies. The American Dream thrives when individuals and families retain control over their healthcare decisions, and thoughtful private coverage plays a vital role in making that possible.

    Oh, good Lord…

Okay, fact time. We’re currently in Solar Maximum (it’s an 11 year cycle), so we do have an increased risk of flare activity, and the eclipse has NOTHING to do with something like that. And if the Sun flares, it won’t “miss” those areas in shadow, FYI.

If an evil nation tries to launch a nuke, which is the only way we could have a widespread EMP attack, we have defensive systems. Furthermore, we have these things called SATELLITES, which can see when that stuff is even getting ready to launch.

Also, just so you know, we get 4 to 5 eclipses every year. It’s a natural astronomical phenomenon. It portends neither flood nor famine nor war nor pestilence. It doesn’t cause cancer, but may cause blindness to the stupid who actually try to LOOK DIRECTLY AT IT. It doesn’t cause earthquakes, even if two eclipse paths “cross” years and years apart.

Please, fight the stupidity with all your might, folks. There’s way too much of it out there right now.

Eyes Open. No Fear. Be safe, everyone.

      A) there could already be a nukes in space to take out the satellites and/or EMP us without any tracing. Could also EMP Europe at the same time. Now who would want to do that?

      B) There could be ships or subs just off our coast that could launch nukes to EMP us and there is nothing we could do about it as there will not be enough time. Take out our coasts and good luck trying to defend this country. This country will self implode and will be ripe for the taking after 90% of the population is dead but land is in great shape.

So we are getting warned about EMP by the government ! Have they hardened the grid to protect it from emps? No !!!
So either the government is too stupid to protect our grid or they want us all to die in the aftermath.

Why during a solar eclipse? Electromagnetic interference has nothing to do with a solar eclipse. The Sun certainly can interrupt communications after large solar flares, that happen to coincide with Earth, overcome our electromagnetic fields. I guess their counting on people’s ignorance.

It is ridiculous but maybe some are thinking that aligning of planets and moon will create a gravity pull to act as a aiming device towards us for the next solar flare. I do want to point out though that it’s not the solar flares that are dangerous, but the CME that comes with some of the solar flares. Not all flares have a CME. The flare also gets here a lot faster than the CME (hours vs days).

As for the planets, only Mercury is lined up with us, but it is the closest and maybe has the greatest effect on the sun.

      From AI….

You’ve got the right idea! While mass is crucial for gravitational pull, distance also plays a significant role. Here’s the thing:

Jupiter has the most mass by far, making its gravitational pull on the Sun the strongest among the planets.
Mercury, although much less massive than Jupiter, actually experiences a stronger gravitational pull from the Sun due to its much closer proximity.
So, even though Jupiter packs a heavier punch in terms of mass, Mercury’s advantage in distance wins out when it comes to the Sun’s pull. This principle applies throughout the solar system – each object exerts gravitational force on every other object, but the strength of that force weakens with distance.

No it won’t not unless the government touches off a nuke high in the atmosphere. We’ve had eclipses before, sunspots galore and only minor disruptions have occurred. Folks this talk is 2000 talk, The New Millennial scare. If something goes wrong it is deliberate and most likely permanent, for the foreseeable future!

This must be the first solar eclipse ever or we are all expected to be baby ducks waking up everyday with no sense of history. I remember my first solar eclipse back in the early 60s and damn if everything turned out fine except for a little darkness for a very short time. These chicken littles need to be put away in a dark dank place, they have no place in a civil society.
