Should Christians Be Concerned About Harry Potter and the Rise of Witchcraft?

by Harbingers Daily
January 18, 2025

The popularity of witchcraft is no longer confined to secretive corners. It’s mainstream, openly influencing families, entertainment, and even education. Former psychic Jenn Nizza highlights how this occult fascination has crept into society—and even the church. She calls Christians to take a hard look at how witchcraft’s normalization is affecting our culture and children.

The Mainstream Normalization of the Occult

The rise of witchcraft in media, from Harry Potter to TikTok trends, has profoundly shaped cultural attitudes. What was once seen as taboo is now marketed as harmless fun. Shows, movies, and even toys introduce concepts like spells, sorcery, and divination to children under the guise of entertainment.

Witchcraft isn’t just on movie screens. Public schools and platforms like social media are inundated with occult practices masked as mindfulness, meditation, or energy healing. Jenn explains how even Christian families are subject to the enemy’s subtle desensitization through cultural trends. It’s easy to shrug off as “just a movie” or “just a book,” but what seems like harmless fun often plants seeds of spiritual confusion.

Are Christians Ignoring the Dangers?

Many Christians fail to recognize how deep this infiltration goes. Jenn recalls, “I was often asked my opinion on Harry Potter, and I made my stance clear: it’s witchcraft.” The Bible is explicit in condemning practices like sorcery and divination. Yet, even some churches have softened their stance, treating such things as harmless entertainment.

Parents need to ask hard questions. Are we allowing subtle but spiritually harmful influences into our homes? Witchcraft offers promises of power and control, which appeal to children. These ideas are at odds with God’s truth and lead to spiritual vulnerability. Children’s curiosity about the supernatural makes them easy targets for these deceptive influences.

How the Enemy Gains Ground

Jenn shares an important analogy: the enemy is like a prowler, looking for open windows and unlocked doors. When Christians allow occult influences—whether through media, books, or even distancing themselves from biblical truth—they give the enemy a foothold.

Scripture warns Christians to “take every thought captive” (2 Corinthians 10:5) and avoid the appearance of evil. Yet the normalization of witchcraft has made it harder to see these warnings clearly. Looking back on her time practicing mediumship, Jenn admits that she was “spiritually asleep,” completely blind to the dangers of dabbling in the occult. This blindness is what she now strives to combat.

The Subtle Tools of Normalization

The occult isn’t just about witches and wizards anymore. It’s also embedded in more subtle ways:

JD’s manually curated links for God-fearing MAGA patriots

  • Social Media: Platforms like TikTok promote tarot card readings, witchcraft tutorials, and spells to young users. These trends are widespread and often glamorized as empowering or fun.
  • Children’s Content: Even cartoons and apps for kids have incorporated witchcraft themes. Jenn points out that parents may not notice, but their children are absorbing these messages.
  • Public Schools: Practices like mindfulness, yoga, and even smudging are introduced as harmless activities. Yet, these are spiritual practices rooted in non-Christian worldviews.

The issue isn’t just what children consume but how these influences stay with them. Jenn stresses the importance of parental vigilance in protecting children’s minds and hearts.

A Call to Parents and Churches

Parents and church leaders cannot afford to stay silent or passive. Jenn encourages Christians to take a firm stand, not with legalistic restrictions but with loving discernment. Education is key. Christians must test everything they allow into their homes and hold it up to God’s Word.

It’s not just about Harry Potter. It’s about the broader cultural shift that desensitizes families to spiritual dangers. Jenn warns, “When you do devilish things, you get devilish outcomes.”

Redeeming the Culture Through Awareness

So how do we address this growing problem? Jenn suggests several practical steps:

  1. Educate Yourself: Test everything against Scripture (1 Thessalonians 5:21-22). Learn about the subtle ways the occult appears in everyday life.
  2. Monitor Media and Technology: Pay close attention to what your children watch and engage with online.
  3. Engage in Conversations: Teach your children why God warns us against occult practices. Help them understand the spiritual battle we face.
  4. Be Active in the Community: Attend school board meetings and voice concerns about curriculum that promotes witchcraft or anti-Christian ideals.

By staying vigilant and rooted in the truth, Christians can combat these dangerous influences and protect future generations.

Conclusion

The rise of witchcraft in popular culture and public spaces is more than a passing trend. It’s a spiritual battle for the hearts and minds of people—especially children. Former psychic Jenn Nizza reminds us that believers must be bold, discerning, and grounded in Scripture to recognize these dangers.

Parents, church leaders, and Christians everywhere must take a stand to guard against these influences. Our goal isn’t to shrink into fear but to shine God’s light in the growing darkness. Let’s be the guardians our children need by teaching them the truth and standing firm against cultural lies.

Why Bullion Beats Numismatics and Collectible for Your Safe or IRA

Precious metals continue to attract Americans seeking reliable ways to protect their wealth amid inflation, geopolitical risks, and stock market swings. Whether stored in a home safe or held inside a self-directed IRA, physical gold and silver deliver tangible value that paper or digital assets often lack. Yet investors must choose carefully between bullion—pure bars and coins valued mainly for their metal content—and numismatics or collectibles, where rarity, history, and collector demand heavily influence pricing.

Advisor Bullion serves as a dependable source for straightforward, high-quality bullion. The company specializes in physical gold, silver, platinum, and palladium, emphasizing transparent pricing and products that deliver maximum metal content for every dollar spent. This approach makes it ideal for both personal holdings and retirement accounts.

Bullion consists of refined precious metals in standard forms like one-ounce coins (American Gold Eagles, Silver Eagles, Canadian Maple Leafs) or bars. Their value tracks closely to the current spot price of the metal. A typical gold bullion coin trades near the live gold spot price plus a small premium. This structure keeps costs clear and predictable.

Numismatic coins and collectibles add substantial value from factors such as age, rarity, minting errors, or historical significance. A pre-1933 U.S. gold coin or graded proof piece can carry premiums of 30%, 50%, or even 200% above melt value. While this appeals to hobbyists, it creates complexity. Pricing depends on subjective grading, collector trends, and auction results instead of daily spot prices.

For investors focused on wealth preservation and retirement security rather than building a collection, bullion often delivers better results.

Lower Costs and Better Liquidity for Home Storage

When keeping metals in a home safe or private vault, liquidity and efficiency count. Bullion offers clear benefits:

  • You acquire more actual gold or silver per dollar invested. Numismatics divert a large share of your money into rarity premiums and massive sales commission, reducing your metal exposure.
  • Selling bullion involves tight bid-ask spreads, so you recover nearly full spot value with minimal fees. Collectibles require finding the right buyer and may sell at a discount if demand for that specific item weakens.
  • Bullion prices remain transparent and update with global spot markets. You can track gold near current levels or silver accordingly and know exactly where your holdings stand. Numismatic values are priced by the Gold IRA companies with hefty margins applied.
  • Standardized coins and bars store efficiently and divide easily for partial sales. Rare coins often need protective slabs and controlled conditions, adding hassle and expense.
  • Bullion enjoys worldwide acceptance. A 1-oz Gold Maple Leaf or Silver Eagle sells quickly to dealers anywhere. Niche numismatic pieces may appeal only to limited buyers, slowing liquidation when speed matters.

In times when quick access to value becomes important, bullion’s simplicity stands out.

Stronger Fit for Precious Metals IRAs

Precious metals IRAs continue gaining traction as investors diversify retirement portfolios beyond stocks and bonds. IRS rules permit certain bullion products in self-directed IRAs if they meet purity standards (.995 fine for gold, .999 for silver) and are held by an approved custodian. Eligible items include American Gold and Silver Eagles plus many generic bars and rounds from recognized mints.

Numismatic and most collectible coins generally face heavy scrutiny from custodians due to valuation disputes and elevated markups. These higher premiums mean less actual metal ends up working inside the account.

Bullion avoids these issues. Its value links directly to verifiable spot prices, which simplifies reporting and lowers the risk of regulatory challenges. More of your IRA contribution purchases real metal instead of dealer profits or speculative upside. Over time, owning additional ounces that appreciate with the metal itself can create meaningful outperformance compared with high-premium alternatives that deliver fewer ounces.

Regulatory guidance from the CFTC and state securities offices repeatedly cautions against aggressive sales of expensive numismatics or “semi-numismatic” coins for IRAs. For retirement planning, transparent bullion from established providers reduces risk and aligns better with long-term goals.

How to Get Started with Bullion

Begin by clarifying your goals. Are you protecting savings in a safe, or moving part of a retirement account into a precious metals IRA? Focus on the number of ounces you can acquire at current prices rather than chasing marked-up collectibles.

Diversify sensibly: use gold for core preservation and silver for its blend of industrial and monetary qualities. Mix coins for easier divisibility with bars for lower per-ounce costs on larger buys. Arrange secure storage—whether at home with proper insurance or through professional facilities.

As economic uncertainties linger and faith in conventional assets erodes, bullion continues proving its worth as a dependable store of value. Its direct approach avoids the hype that sometimes surrounds collectible markets and keeps the focus on the metal itself.

For investors prepared to strengthen their portfolios, Advisor Bullion supplies the expertise and selection needed to acquire high-quality bullion efficiently. Whether building personal holdings or integrating metals into an IRA, their emphasis on transparent, investment-grade products helps secure more ounces today that support greater financial security tomorrow. In a complicated financial landscape, bullion’s clarity and reliability make it the smarter foundation for protecting what matters most.

At its core, the Harry Potter saga is a tale of good versus evil. It incorporates witchcraft, wizardry, and magical beings. There are also a few brutal deaths. The clear message of this article is that parents should be very concerned about their children being exposed to such pagan filth.

Here’s a question for Jenn. Has she enjoyed and/or allowed her children to watch any of the following “wholesome” Disney films? This is just a short list:

    Snow White
    Pinocchio
    Cinderella
    Sleeping Beauty
    The Little Mermaid
    Beauty and the Beast
    Frozen

Magic and magical beings, witchcraft, and brutal deaths permeate these movies as well. The biggest difference is that the target demo for the Harry Potter books and movies is middle-schoolers, but the Disney films are aiming right at families with much younger children.

Snow White was released almost ninety years ago and there’s been a non-stop barrage of occult tales from Disney ever since. Where is the outrage? Where are the warnings for parents to avoid sharing this garbage with their kids? Why are these witches and wizards and brutal deaths perfectly fine for grade-schoolers, but the same themes and imagery in Harry Potter are potentially corrupting influences?

Anyone who is getting their knickers in a twist over Harry Potter should take a step back and reevaluate their perspective. Either that or also condemn dozens of Disney films and other such innocuous fare as I Dream of Jeannie, Bewitched, The Smurfs, Sabrina the Teenaged Witch, The Wizards of Waverly Place, and many more. That seems like an awful lot of effort to continue as a Harry hater without also being a hypocrite.

Hellywood/Disney/Harry Potter has been INDOCTRINATING American children for decades with the OCCULT. Christian’s will be held to account for allowing their evil filth into their homes and causing their children to stumble.
    Matthew 18:6
If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.
